Wireless Alarms (also known as wirefree alarms, radio alarms or cordless alarms) are often now fitted in place of a hard wired security system. With home security being ever more a necessity in the fight against crime, there has never been a more convenient way of protecting your property from intrusion and the subsequent distress caused by a burglary.
As with hard wired systems, radio alarms also have to be fitted as a graded system to warrant police response and meet insurance companies needs. Radio systems are divided into different classes; class 1 being a DIY system available from most DIY stores. We only use the most recent professional radio systems and never install any wire free equipment lower than class 6.
The advantages of a modern wireless system is that cabling does not have to be run through the building to link the sensors to the Control Panel, and being wireless this avoids drilling, lifting carpets, floorboards etc, in turn meaning the installation times in most cases is almost halved.
Wireless systems are generally more expensive than hard wired systems, although savings can be made in reduced labour time. The batteries in the sensors also need to be monitored and changed when necessary. Our systems will indicate when there is a low battery fault on any of the attached devices.
With a wireless system you will have a reliable and secure alarm system that will not only protect your premises, it can also be used a panic alarm or by integrating smoke detectors can also act as a fire alarm. With regular service and maintenance your wireless alarm system will provide many valuable years of protection. |
